I recommend the lecture "Grasshoppers, Ants, and Locusts" to those who want to understand more about what is happening financially.  The recent US kabuki dances and the obsession with beltway trivium has become more annoying to me than usual.

Make sure to download the slides before starting to listen.  There is a lot of good material there too.
